Dear Magpie modellers
First of all I must apologise for the lateness of this newsletter,
there has been nearly two years since the last one!
We have held our collection of 'persies' as we have a
few left. These are:
Vanilla - our beautiful cremello Arab with a pink
nose and blue eyes. He has 2 socks and is finished with a flaxen mane
and tail. Price £14.50
Toffee - our cheeky bright chestnut welsh pony
with 4 socks, a wide blaze, pink nose and brown eyes, finished with
golden hair. Price £13.50
Honey - our wild hunter, with a honey roan coat,
4 socks, a wide blaze, pink nose and blue eyes, finished with flaxen
hair. Price £15.50
And for a limited time only you can buy all three for £40! Visit
our e-shop for more details.
Unfortunately the stables are being discontinued; they are too
costly to produce at a reasonable price. But the grooming kit may be
coming back.

Some sad news I'm afraid our stray 'kitty' that found
us had to be put down in the summer. She was very old and not having
a very good time of it. We were all very sad as she was lovely.
However Ken (my long suffering husband) surprised me on my
birthday with a little black bundle of mischief that goes by the
name of 'Mr. Bumble'.

He is a little, cheeky, completely black cat who would love to
play with Alfie, but Alfie's completely confused by him, and
he's way too fast.

It has been a busy and eventful year. Not just for Magpie Models.
We sold our workshop and have moved the business to our annexe. We
are currently having an extension built so it's a bit topsy
turvy here.
I am afraid that Magpie Models is going to go up for sale
sometime this year and I am taking this opportunity to inform you
first as I know there are a few fans out there.
I would like to thank everybody who has supported Magpie over the
5 years I have owned it because without you folks it couldn't
have happened at all. But my personal circumstances have changed and
I can't put the time in to promote and help it grow and
blossom. I have done the hard part by raising it off its knees and
now it needs someone with time and enthusiasm to continue the good
work. The business is a small cottage industry that can run from a
medium sized workshop (garage size), plus a bit of storage.
Most of the income is through our website which is up and running
nicely. Our eBay
shop is a good source, as eBay comes up on every search for
anything, and cross promotes the website! It can also go back to
running as mail order!
If anyone is interested please contact me for more details.
Cheers for now Jan Adams |
